Three more teenage talents have confirmed their entries into the Ginetta Junior Championship for 2025, with Noah Young, Jarrett Clark and Felipe Reijs ready for their rookie campaigns.
Young is the first confirmed driver for newly-formed team Performance One Motorsport for their inaugural Ginetta Junior season. He’s already started his preparations for his debut car-racing campaign, having completed successful tests in a Ginetta G40 Junior in the UK and Spain.
Noah Young: “I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity to compete in the Ginetta Junior Championship in 2025 and I can’t wait for the season to start.”
Jack Roberts, Performance One Motorsport: “We’re extremely excited to be working alongside Noah for the 2025 season. We’ve got a strong winter testing programme in place, ensuring Noah is prepared and in the best possible position as he enters his first race season.”
R Racing have completed their capacity 2025 driver line-up with Clark and Reijs, who join Rocco Coronel, Scott Lindblom, Alfie Slater and Max Cuthbert as the Norfolk-based team aim to successfully defend their teams’ and drivers’ titles secured this year.
Former Rotax Festival karting champion Clark made his Junior debut in the Winter Series last month and scored a best result of 10th overall, while Dutch karting graduate Reijs was a front-runner in the IAME Benelux Series this year and reached the final day of the recent Ginetta Junior Scholarship.
Jamie Ross, R Racing: “We are really looking forward to racing with Jarrett and Felipe in 2025. We have a good winter testing programme in place for both, we are eager to go into round one as strong as possible and look forward to seeing what they can do.”
Lucie Hodgson is returning to the Ginetta GT Academy for a second consecutive season with W2R. A popular addition to the grid for 2024, earning a special award at the Ginetta Awards Dinner for her passion and dedication to the championship, she secured six podium finishes in the Chairmans Cup and a best overall result of 11th.
Lucie Hodgson: “I’m very excited to be back for the 2025 season in the GT Academy. I’m ready to continue with the progress I made throughout my rookie year.”
A new addition to the GT Academy grid meanwhile will be Chris Babington, who will return to Ginetta competition for the first time in nine years with SVG Motorsport. He started his racing career in the Ginetta Racing Drivers Club in 2015, scoring a number of front-running results including a hat-trick of class podium finishes, before continuing in GRDC+ the following year.
Chris Babington: “Having raced in the Ginetta G40 almost ten years ago now, the step-up into the more powerful G56 GTA car after several years missing in my racing ‘career’ is an exciting – and slightly daunting – prospect!
“The car feels amazing and combined with meeting some old and new friends on the track again, will make a great season. If I get near the podium at any of the iconic tracks we are racing at, that will also be fantastic and make the season even more memorable. Racing Ginetta’s has always been great fun.”
Ginetta is introducing a range of enhancements for 2025 to keep every rung of its unique motorsport ladder at the front of the grid for years to come, including the introduction of the Ginetta G56 GTP8 and Ginetta G40 Junior Evo. More information can be found here.
