Fleming and Wager contested the inaugural season of the GT Academy last year as the latest chapter in their long-standing association with Ginetta, having both made their racing debuts in the GRDC back in 2014 before long spells in the G40 Cup.
Fleming, who scored more than 20 podium finishes in the G40 Cup, enjoyed a competitive first season in the GT Academy with a best result of fourth in the GTA class. His team-mate Wager went one better, scoring a breakthrough podium finish at Snetterton.
Neal Foster, SF Racing Team Manager: “We as a team absolutely loved last season in the Ginetta GT Academy. The new championship had the same family feel as with the G40 Cup before.
“We had mixed results during the 2021 season, with the highlight being a great P3 finish for Gary at Snetterton. After finishing mid-table in sixth and seventh, we have now got an opportunity to build on last season due to time in the seat.
“This coming season the grid, it looks bumper to bumper, which will make for some close racing and some late nights for the team.”
The Ginetta GT Academy gives drivers of all experience levels the opportunity to enjoy entry level GT racing. The series offers an uncompromising package of high performance racing at an affordable cost, with the exposure of competing at British GT and BTCC events.
