The Ginetta Racing Drivers Club (GRDC) is an all-inclusive package designed for drivers making their first steps into motorsport and the Class of 2019 will continue their journey with two races around the ‘Home of British Motor Racing’, as they share a grid with the Ginetta G40 Cup.
Mark Sansom heads into the meeting full of confidence after enjoying the best possible start with the opening two wins in the season opener, while Craig Cornick highlighted his clear potential with pole positon and a pair of podium finishes.
Chris Threadgill enjoyed an equally impressive start to the campaign as he joined them in the top three in both races, while Chris White got himself into the podium battle as both he and Michael Kidson secured a pair of top five finishes each.
It was clear from the season opener that the 2019 grid is packed with exciting new talents, with the two Harry’s, Ormerod and Mangion, immediately getting into the top six battle, while Ignazio Zanon showed his raw speed as he qualified on the front row.
With Mark Lee, Neil Wallace, Toby Trice and Paulo Scripo having all featured in the top ten across the opening two races, and Nigel Fox and Mark Allin making their mark as well, we’re set for thrilling action throughout the grid as they get back on track at Silverstone.
