Rowledge (R Racing) continued his title charge with a brilliant fifth win of the season last time out at Snetterton. The reigning Winter Series champion has notched up ten podium finishes in total, and was a race-winner here at Thruxton back in May.
Will Macintyre (Elite Motorsport) leads the chasing pack to Rowledge. He continued his sensational maiden season with a victory at Snetterton and is marching towards the rookie title as well, with 11 class wins so far giving him a lead of over 140 points.
Harri Reynolds (Assetto Motorsport) bounced back from a tough trip to Knockhill last month with a hard-fought pair of podium finishes last time out. The Welshman, who led the championship earlier in the season, knows he needs to start gaining ground on Rowledge to keep his title hopes alive.
One of the in-form drivers heading into the weekend is Liam McNeilly (Fox Motorsport). The 2021 championship runner-up has stood on the podium after four of the last five races, and now has his sights firmly set on securing his first win of the season.
There are three other race-winners on the grid this weekend. Rookie talent Kanato Le (Elite Motorsport) has picked up victories at Brands Hatch and Snetterton, while Maurice Henry (Fox Motorsport) and Sonny Smith (R Racing) took their maiden successes at Knockhill and Croft respectively.
Elite Motorsport’s Joe Warhurst and Aqil Alibhai are sure to be in the mix for podium finishes this weekend, having both shown great pace at Thruxton in the past, while team-mate Mckenzie Douglass has collected three rookie podium finishes in the last four races.
Hampshire-based squad Preptech UK will be hoping for good results at their home circuit. Zac Meakin has taken a best result of fourth overall, while Ginetta Junior scholar Alisha Palmowski has secured three rookie podiums and Flynn McHardy has recorded personal best results in the last two events.
Freddie Slater is one to watch after battling in the top six and picking up a rookie podium during an impressive debut at Snetterton. Fellow R Racing talents Luke Watts and Luca Hopkinson are potential front-runners too, with Watts having set the pace in qualifying at Brands Hatch earlier this year.
Adam Brown (Ultimate Speed Racing) has been in the thick of the midfield action this season, while local racer Liona Theobald is joined by her Assetto Motorsport team-mates Ella Lloyd and James Wyres in targeting their maiden top ten finishes this weekend.
Akshay Bohra (R Racing) makes a welcome return to the grid this weekend meanwhile after missing the last two rounds. Shravan Shanmugavel (Elite Motorsport) is also back after skipping Snetterton due to a family emergency.
