In the GT5 Challenge Am class, Chris White (Raceway Motorsport) has moved to the top of the standings with an impressive recent run of results. After scoring a maiden victory at Silverstone, he took a hat-trick of wins last time out at Donington Park.
Harry Mangion (Elite Motorsport) previously led the standings with a win on each of the opening three events, however he had to miss the trip to Donington Park. He’s back this weekend though and determined to regain lost ground.
The ultra-competitive class has seen every driver score multiple podium finishes across the campaign. Karim Sekkat (Elite Motorsport) is in good form, having picked up silverware in four of last five races, while Mark Steel (Toro Verde GT) took a double rostrum at Donington Park.
Paolo Santi (Raceway Motorsport) has recorded a double victory at Brands Hatch, while Bal Sidhu (Xentek Motorsport) was a victor in the Thruxton season opener. Phil McGarty (Xentek Motorsport) returns to the grid meanwhile with two podiums so far this year.
Marc Warren (Raceway Motorsport) is building a strong lead in the G40 Cup Pro category, with an impressive tally of seven wins from ten races so far. Nick White (MRM) has joined him in finishing all ten races so far on the class podium, including a victory at Thruxton.
Thomas Holland (Raceway Motorsport) sits three points ahead of White in the standings meanwhile, with a double win at Silverstone being amongst eight podiums for the year. Bren Maude (CTS Motorsport), who has visited the rostrum twice this season, completes the class entry.
The driver to beat in G40 Cup Am meanwhile is Rupert Laslett (Raceway Motorsport), who has a 100% pole position record and eight class victories to his name. Andrew Willis (Privateer) has picked up the victory on the other two occasions, including in the final race at Donington Park.
Brenden Haffner (Raceway Motorsport) has also been a regular podium visitor, with six pieces of silverware in his 2021 collection. Jeremy Sussex (SVG Motorsport) returns to the grid having taken three podiums in the opening five races, while team-mate Steve Davies enjoyed a maiden success last time out.
