Hibbert has enjoyed a fantastic season so far with reigning champions Rob Boston Racing, scoring ten podium finishes in the eleven races contested. A victory at Knockhill last time out was his fourth to date and he comes to Thruxton with memories of a race win here in 2020.
Smalley (Elite Motorsport) narrowly closed the gap at the top of the standings in Scotland with a brilliant pair of race wins to make it five for the season. He’s determined to enjoy more success this weekend at a circuit he’s won at in both the Ginetta Juniors and GT5 Challenge.
Smalley’s Elite Motorsport team-mates Josh Rattican and Tom Emson are both looking to mount a championship challenge this season. A double second place at Knockhill kept Rattican in the mix, while Emson has made four visits to the rostrum over the campaign.
Carlito Miracco (Preptech UK), a race-winner at Brands Hatch back in June, has scored a podium finish at each of the four events this year. James Blake-Baldwin (AK Motorsport) and Steve Roberts (Rob Boston Racing) made podium breakthroughs at Brands Hatch, while Luke Reade (Rob Boston Racing) got his first piece of silverware at Oulton Park.
Joe Marshall (Team HARD) and Reece Somerfield (Breakell Racing) both have best results this season of fourth, while Blake Angliss (Century Motorsport) qualified an impressive third overall last time out. His team-mates Henry Dawes and Andy Spencer, plus Seb Melrose (Team HARD), complete a competitive Pro entry.
In the Pro Am class meanwhile, Colin White (CWS Motorsport) is on a fantastic run of form with a Knockhill hat-trick making it 10 victories for the season. The Ginetta veteran is a potent force at Thruxton too, with a current run of nine consecutive class podium finishes there.
Carl Garnett (AK Motorsport) leads the chase to White having finished in the class top three in each of the first ten races of the season. He’s determined to get a first win of the campaign under his belt this weekend, and starred at Thruxton last year with a hat-trick of Am class victories.
Luke Warr (Race Car Consultants) and Garry Townsend (AK Motorsport) carry momentum from Knockhill after scoring seasons’ best results of second and third respectively, while 2020 Am champion Stewart Lines (Rob Boston Racing) is always a podium threat.
