Heading into the third meeting of the season, it’s the most experienced driver in GT4 SuperCup history, Reece Somerfield (Elite Motorsport), who leads the way. He’s enjoying his best ever run of results in the series, with five podiums finishes in the opening six races.
Harry King (Elite Motorsport) and Will Burns (Rob Boston Racing) are hot on his heels after taking two wins each across the opening two events. With all of the top three having previously enjoyed podium success at Croft, expect the race wins to be fiercely contested this weekend.
Joining them in the battle at the front will be Tom Hibbert (Triple M Motorsport) and Mike Epps (Team HARD), who both have three podium finishes so far, while Carlito Miracco (Privateer) showed the potential to challenge for silverware on his debut at Donington Park.
Fin Green (Total Control Racing) is a welcome sight on the entry list after recovering from an incident last time out, while returning to the grid after missing that weekend will be Simon Rudd (Rob Boston Racing) and Tom Barley (Team HARD).
An incredibly competitive start for the Am Class meanwhile has produced four different race-winners and eight podium finishers so far. Leading the points is Darron Lewis (Team HARD) courtesy of a win in each of the opening two events.
Nathan Heathcote (Century Motorsport) has also secured a pair of race wins so far in his debut campaign, while the other two successes have been shared by Dan Kirby (Rob Boston Racing) and former two-time class champion Colin White (CWS Motorsport).
White is determined to take victory at the only circuit on the calendar on which he hasn’t previously secured an Am Class success, however aiming to stop him and secure their first wins of the campaign will be James Kell (Rob Boston Racing) and Jack Oliphant (Century Motorsport).
Lee Frost (Declan Jones Racing) has similar aspirations to add more silverware to his 2019 tally, while Yorkshire’s own Carl Garnett (AK Motorsport), Lucky Khera (Declan Jones Racing) and Peter Bassill (Century Motorsport) are out to impress this weekend.
