MDD Racing are ready to build on their great first season of Ginetta racing. They are mounting another three-pronged challenge across the Protyre Motorsport Ginetta GT Championship, Ginetta GT Academy and Ginetta Junior Championship in 2025.
Led by 2019 Ginetta GT5 Challenge champion Scott McKenna and his brother Ben, the McKenna Driver Development (MDD) team have been a welcome new addition to the Ginetta paddock this year. They have put in some impressive performances across the three championships.
Making an immediate impact as Scott himself scored a pair of overall GT Championship race wins on their debut weekend at Oulton Park. The team accumulated further PRO and AM class podium finishes in that series. They also took class silverware in the GT Academy and Juniors.
MDD Racing will be targeting more success next year. They have committed to running multiple cars across the championships again for 2025. This includes a couple of the new-for-2025 Ginetta G56 GTP8’s in the GT Championship.
Scott McKenna – MDD Racing Team Principal:
“As a team we are fired up to be back for the 2025 season. We have had a fantastic first year operating across the three different Ginetta championships. We have far exceeded our expectations in terms of results. The efforts from everyone involved have amounted to something we can already be very proud of.
“Looking into 2025, we have a driver line-up we believe will be strong. Both Ben and myself look forward to harnessing this and maximising both the drivers’ and team’s performance throughout the season.”
Ginetta is introducing a range of enhancements for 2025. It wants to keep every rung of its unique motorsport ladder at the front of the grid for years to come. Changes include the introduction of the Ginetta G56 GTP8. More information can be found here.
