Both driver and team made their GT4 SuperCup debuts last year, with Warr joining the Ginetta paddock as a former race-winner in the Focus Cup and front-runner in the Renault UK Clio Cup.
The Suffolk based racer enjoyed a strong campaign in the competitive Am class, scoring three podium finishes including a best result of second on two occasions.
Luke Warr: “After a very exciting first season for me in the Ginetta GT4 SuperCup last year, it was an easy decision to return for 2022 in the G55 and mount a full championship campaign. 2021 proved to be a year of learning and I hope to put all that new knowledge of the car’s characteristics to use this year.
“The decision to return with David Ellesley’s Race Car Consultants team made perfect sense. They know me, they know the car so hopefully we can build on that foundation and move forward. I can’t wait for round one!”
Race Car Consultants will be running a dual programme in Ginetta racing this season, with the Ipswich-based team also contesting their fourth consecutive season in the GT5 Challenge.
David Ellesley, RCC Team Principal: “It’s great to have Luke back with us for 2022. The G55 grid looks to be shaping up nicely and we are excited to continue our support this season.
“It’s a great time to be involved in the GT4 SuperCup, with the introduction of the new G56 and strong G55 numbers. I think with all the lessons learned in 2021 by both us and Luke, we will hit the ground running come round one.”
The Millers Oils Ginetta GT4 SuperCup is Ginetta’s flagship championship. In 2022, the series will be contested over seven race weekends in support of the British Touring Car Championship, with a major change seeing the introduction of the Ginetta G56 GT4 as the lead car.
