Reade made his Ginetta debut last year as he contested the final two events of the GT4 SuperCup season. The Kent based racer immediately got into thick of the action in the competitive championship and impressively recorded a pair of top six finishes.
With that experience under his belt, Reade is determined to make his mark at the front of the pack this year. He will remain with Rob Boston Racing as part of a multi-car entry for the three-time champions, and will compete with headline sponsorship from shoe brand Billy Ruffian.
Prior to his Ginetta bow, the majority of the 27 year old’s previous experience came in front-wheel-drive tin top competition. A former podium finisher in the MINI Challenge, he has also competed on the BTCC support package in the past in the Renault UK Clio Cup.
Luke Reade: “After helping me onto the grid last season, I am lucky enough to be partnering up with Billy Ruffian for a full campaign this year. I am ecstatic to have a proper go at the Ginetta GT4 SuperCup and I hope to make a big impact with Rob Boston Racing.
“I gained a great deal of experience racing in my outings last season. I have still got some learning to do, but I am with the right team to do it, and I fully understand it will take a few meetings to get on top of the car. After that, I would love to be fighting for podiums and wins, and hopefully the fans can get full access to the circuit and paddock, and we can all enjoy a great summer.”
The Millers Oils Ginetta GT4 SuperCup is Ginetta’s flagship championship. In 2021, the series will be contested over eight race weekends in support of the British Touring Car Championship.
