Reade initially joined the GT4 SuperCup for the final two events of the 2020 season, making an immediate impression with a pair of top six finishes. The former MINI Challenge and Renault UK Clio Cup racer then came back to contest a full campaign last year.
The 28 year old was a regular front-runner throughout the season, finishing in the top ten on no less than eight occasions. The highlight of the season came at Oulton Park, as he produced a brilliant drive to net a breakthrough podium finish in third.
Reade will contest the 2022 season with a brand new team in Wolf Motorsport, which he has set up alongside GT4 SuperCup race-winner Carlito Miracco and his family. The Kent racer will remain in a Ginetta G55 GT4 in the G55 Pro class, with the team hoping to add a second car at a later date.
Luke Reade: “I am very grateful to be returning for my second season in the Millers Oils Ginetta GT4 SuperCup and look forward to competing in the G55 Pro class. It has been very touch and go over the winter months trying to connect all the dots, so I am super happy we’ve got it done.
“It’s great to have formed a brand new team with Carlito and his family, and together I really feel we can have a super successful year. After a fantastic learning year in 2021 and getting my first podium in the GT4 SuperCup, I am excited to build on that and put together a strong 2022 campaign.”
The Millers Oils Ginetta GT4 SuperCup is Ginetta’s flagship championship. In 2022, the series will be contested over seven race weekends in support of the British Touring Car Championship, with a major change seeing the introduction of the Ginetta G56 GT4 as the lead car.
