The 24H Dubai had everything, even rain.
GTX leader Toro Verde (#795, Lawrence Tomlinson / Freddie Tomlinson / Michael Simpson / Nico Prost) took a second category win – and the GTX Teams’ Middle East Trophy – with the developmental Ginetta G56 Cup, aided by strong pace and impressively lean tyre wear during the night.
After qualifying 3rd in class, the team reined in P2 during the night, taking P1 in class after issues befell the leader.
Long time Ginetta legend Colin White also triumphed in the 24h series in Dubai. Team CWS ran two G55s in the Middle East Trophy, finishing the 24h Dubai 2nd and 4th overall in TCE, 1st and 3rd in TCX. Team CWS featured an all-star Ginetta alumni line up with all bar Broberg having raced in a Ginetta before.
The team’s #278 Ginetta G55 (Colin White / Mark Griffin / Daniel Morris / Thomas Holland / Owen Hizzey) lead the sister #277 entry (JM Littman / Christian Broberg / Colin White / Mark Griffith / Thomas Holland) over the line.
