The 2025 Ginetta Junior Championship entry has grown to more than 20 drivers with the announcement of three more contenders for the upcoming campaign from an exciting new addition to the grid, RAB Sport.
The Cumbria-based team are making their Ginetta Junior debut with three drivers from South Africa. Sibling pair Mahlori and Ntiyiso Mabunda are returning for their second years in the championship, while Luviwe Sambudla will embark on his maiden car-racing campaign.
Mahlori and Ntiyiso Mabunda both scored regular points finishes in their debut seasons, with best overall results of 18th and 15th respectively, while Ntiyiso (pictured above) finished on the Freshmans Cup class podium on three occasions. Sambudla meanwhile has a strong karting pedigree in his homeland and Europe.
Mahlori Mabunda:
“I’m delighted to be back in my second season of this prestigious championship. Last year was my transition year from karting, I feel confident this year to push on and represent my team, family and Africa well!”

Ntiyiso Mabunda:
“My brother and I are back. We are super excited to undertake this journey again with all at Ginetta, looking forward to working with RAB Sport this year. I hope to add on to my three rookie podiums with more silver but this time from the very top!”
Luviwe Sambudla:
“I’m finally moving into the second half of my junior career, I’m so excited that my first point of entry to main circuit is with Ginetta and in the Junior Championship. I had the best preparation for this from Kart Republic and are extremely proud to have had Mr Dino Chiesa mentoring me, now for Mr. Richard Barnard and his team at RAB Sport to add to my potential. Let’s go Africa!”

Another driver returning to the Ginetta paddock this season will be Peter Thompson, entering a second season in the GT Academy with W2R. The Market Harborough-based racer enjoyed an impressive first campaign in car-racing last year, scoring a best result of third overall at Donington Park and a pair of rookie class podium finishes.
Peter Thompson:
“After my first season in 2024, I can’t wait to get back on to the grid with Ginetta. I can’t wait to catch up with many of my racing buddies, as well as meeting the new competitors. It’s going to be a great season.”

Ginetta is introducing a range of enhancements for 2025 to keep every rung of its unique motorsport ladder at the front of the grid for years to come, including the introduction of the Ginetta G56 GTP8 and Ginetta G40 Junior Evo. More information can be found here.
