British motorsport brand Ginetta has today unveiled a new 2021 Championship structure, offering some of the finest prize packages in motorsport, supporting the career aspirations of talented drivers. When combined, the total prize fund on offer from Ginetta across its Championship classes is estimates at £400,000.
Ginetta has a global reputation for nurturing talent and helping those at all experience levels thrive with one of the most successful and proven driver development programmes in Motorsport. Its alumni boasts many notable household names, such as Britain’s F1 star, Lando Norris, W Series champion Jamie Chadwick and BTCC front runner Tom Ingram.
At Ginetta’s core is a racing ladder which provides a car and championship for every level, from juniors and those looking to start their racing careers, experienced drivers looking to develop, through to pro drivers wanting to progress to the highest levels in the sport.
The GT4 SuperCup, Ginetta’s flagship competition, using the G55 GT4 SuperCup car, is designed for those who want to compete at the highest level. For 2021, the top prize for the pro class will be a fully funded seat on the 2022 British GT grid, arguably one of motorsports most prestigious prize packages today.
Ginetta’s unrivalled prize package is a statement of intent to develop drivers, by delivering an affordable Championship offering, and utilising its experienced team to nurture talent, through its instructors, track days, test track and on-site simulator facility. Its championships exist to ensure that drivers can gain the relevant experience route in to all levels of motorsport.

Ginetta GT Academy
The GT Academy is aimed squarely at those
who want to have fun in a competitive and efficient race car or who are at the
start of a journey towards GT / LMP racing. This series uses the G55 GTA car on
road tyres. The series does not allow pro drivers to enter. The main
class is set to feature amateur drivers of all experience levels, with a Rookie
class for first year drivers. The series will be held across five weekends,
with four in support of the British GT package and the other alongside the
BTCC.

Vice Champion – Half price entry into a Ginetta Championship of their choice, subject to eligibility.
Rookie Champion – Free entry into GTA series in the following year.
Michelin Ginetta Junior Championship
A nine-weekend series for 14 to 17-year olds,
is widely recognised as one of the most watched competitions in the UK,
featuring as part of the BTCC package. Excelling in this championship in the
G40 Junior car is a good barometer for future success.

Ginetta GT Pro Championship
A nine-weekend series using the G55 GT Pro
car, racing alongside the Ginetta GT4 SuperCup grid on the BTCC package. The
series for 16 to 21-year olds is aimed at easing the progression through to the
GT4 SuperCup. The car, like the GTA is on a road tyre but has 300bhp rather
than 270bhp, allowing Drivers to adapt to paddle shift and a bigger car before
stepping into a GT4 SuperCup.

Champion – Fully funded SuperCup car including entry fee, fuel and
a contribution to consumable costs – Total Value £65k.
Vice Champion
– Half Price Entry into GT Pro or GT4 SuperCup.
Protyre Motorpsort GT5 Challenge
Featuring both Pro and Am classes, a seven-weekend series racing in front of G40 Cup, the GT5 Challenge uses a G40 car with sequential gearbox and both slick and wet weather racing tyres. Covering five weekends on the British GT package, and two weekends with the BTCC. GT5 cars help refine and hone driver capabilities in a powerful car to help them progress on to the top tier of motorsport.

An eight-weekend championship using the G55

Am. The series is designed for those who want to race a professional race car
on slick or wet tyres and are preparing to compete at the highest level of
motorsport in multi-marque GT racing.
