The Warwickshire based team are one of the most successful teams in Ginetta history, having taken title success in the G50 Cup, GT4 SuperCup and GT5 Challenge. Their quest to win in a fourth different Ginetta series comes with championship returnees Tom Hartley Jnr, Edward Acres and Lee Goldsmith, plus newcomer Michael Johnston.
Hartley Jnr and Acres will be stepping up to the championship’s GTA class after launching their racing careers as part of the rookie contingent last year. Performance and classic car dealer Hartley Jnr enjoyed a strong campaign, securing a pair of class podium finishes.
Acres excelled across the season, starting with a class top three on the opening weekend before adding six more podiums in the final eight races of the season. The Nottingham racer ended the campaign third in the rookie standings, with a best overall race result of third under his belt.
The most experienced driver in the team’s line-up is Goldsmith, who is preparing to embark on his fifth season of Ginetta racing. Following spells in the GRDC, G40 Cup and GT4 SuperCup, the Monaco based driver picked up a GTA class podium finish in the GT Academy last year.
Johnston meanwhile will be enjoying a welcome return to Ginetta racing this year as he makes his GT Academy debut. The Scotsman started his career with a partial campaign in the GRDC in 2020, impressively scoring a rookie class podium finish in his maiden race.
Nathan Freke – Century Motorsport Team Principal: “I’m really pleased to be fielding a very strong and full GT Academy team.
