The three-day contest takes place at Ginetta’s own Blyton Park circuit in Lincolnshire. The huge entry of teenage talents will be whittled down to one eventual winner. This talented driver will secure a fully-funded season in the 2023 Michelin Ginetta Junior Championship.
2023 Ginetta Junior Scholarship entrants will be tested on their skills both on and off circuit, with their track assessments coming behind the wheel of a fleet of Ginetta G40 cars. The cars will be supplied and run by a number of the leading teams from the Ginetta Junior paddock.
Ginetta factory driver Charlie Robertson will head the driving judging panel. He’s joined by former scholarship winners Adam Smalley and Sennan Fielding, Ginetta GT4 SuperCup champion James Kellett, Junior alumni Ben Green and Max Coates, plus experienced prototype racer James Littlejohn.
As well as being judged on their talent behind the wheel, the entrants will also have media skills tested by ITV commentator Richard John Neil. They’ll also be put through their paces in a range of fitness assessments by Ginetta’s in-house personal trainer Richard Chessman.

The Ginetta Junior Scholarship has launched the careers of a number of hugely talented drivers. Previous champions include three-time W Series champion Jamie Chadwick, newly crowned British GT4 champion Fielding and 2021 Ginetta GT4 SuperCup victor Smalley.
Alisha Palmowski was the latest recipient of the prize. She recently signed off an impressive scholarship campaign, securing three rookie class podium finishes. Alisha became the first female driver to stand on a Junior podium in seven years.
Will Macintyre reached the final five of the scholarship last year. He went on to win the rookie title and finish as the overall runner-up this season. Four other finalists went on to compete in the series this year, including multiple rookie podium finisher Mckenzie Douglass.
