Run by the hugely experienced father and son duo of Alan and Nick Mugglestone, Triple M have established themselves as one of the leading forces in the GT4 SuperCup in recent years and took the championship fight down to the wire last season with Hibbert.
Since making his series debut in 2015, Hibbert has been a regular fixture at the front of the field. A race-winner in both 2016 and 2017, the Lincolnshire racer enjoyed his best campaign so far last year with five race wins and 14 podium finishes taking him to third in the final standings.
Morris meanwhile is continuing his ascent up the Ginetta ladder. After making his racing debut in the GRDC in 2018, the 37 year old mounted a title challenge on his graduation to the G40 Cup last year with an impressive three victories and 11 other top three results to his name.
Alan Mugglestone, team principal: “We are pleased to welcome Dan into the Triple M family. He has shown his latent talent in the Ginetta paddock over the last couple of seasons and I’m sure we will have a blast this year as we look to help him towards the top step of the podium.
“It was great being able to pass on our multiple title winning knowledge to Tom last year and see how he grew in confidence through the year. He has always been mighty fast and now he’s learnt the techniques to turn that raw speed into race wins. Obviously we’re aiming for the top step at the end of the year, but we will enjoy the ride whatever the outcome.”
Tom Hibbert: “Triple M are a great team to work with, I’m looking forward to having Dan as a team-mate, and collectively we will have some fun all working together. Personally, I’m going to leave no stone unturned this year in an all-out effort to win the overall championship.
“It’s looking like a very competitive year and I know I’ll have to work hard to stay at the front, but that work ethic runs deep all the way through my family and I know it’s the same at Triple M. I love driving the G55 and the whole Ginetta experience is mega, so I can’t wait for the first race weekend to arrive!”
Daniel Morris: “I’m very excited to have the opportunity to carry on my progression within the Ginetta racing ladder and partner with Triple M Motorsport for the GT4 SuperCup. To be able to work with Alan Mugglestone, whose CV speaks for itself, is something that really excites me.
“The engineering and driving coaching abilities within the team are second to none, while having a title contender Pro driver in Tom Hibbert as a team-mate is awesome. All in all, this package should help me progress as a driver and I think it’s going to be a mega year.”
The Millers Oils Ginetta GT4 SuperCup is Ginetta’s flagship championship, with a three-class structure incorporating Pro, Pro Am and Am categories. In 2020, the series will be contested over eight race weekends in support of the British Touring Car Championship.
