Freddie Tomlinson and Stuart Middleton will be returning to British GT to compete in the Silverstone 500, with unfinished business.
The Silverstone 500 will be run over the 27th to 28th April 2024. Teams and drivers will compete on the prestigious race circuit in a three hour race. It will require a driver swap and refuelling breaks.
The Silver duo will race the upgraded G56 GT4 Evo after winning with its predecessor at Snetterton last season. They also came close to victory two rounds earlier at Silverstone where a pitlane infringement ultimately proved decisive.
The car will be run by Team CMR, who currently run a number of GT4 Evos in FFSA French GT4. They have already achieved a win this season.
Ahead of the race, Freddie said, ‘I’m looking forward to racing at Silverstone again, this time in the new GT4 car. I think it’s even better suited than the car we had last year. Losing a win because of a penalty never feels great but I’m confident in the team, the car and myself. We’ll be pushing all the way to get the win the team deserved last year.’
Saturday’s qualifying session and Sunday’s three-hour race are both live on Sky Sports F1 and SRO’s GT World YouTube channel. The season-high 43-strong entry – of which 19 are GT4 cars – will take the start at 12:30 BST.
