Hibbert is preparing to embark on his fifth full season in the GT4 SuperCup, having been a consistent front-runner since his debut in 2015. A race-winner in both 2016 and 2017, he’s gone on to put himself in the title picture in the last two seasons.
The Lincolnshire racer enjoyed his best ever campaign in 2019 with five wins and 14 podium finishes, and he followed it up with another impressive showing last year to record a second consecutive top three points finish.
Hibbert, who is on course to reach 100 GT4 SuperCup starts this season, has now recorded a total of 11 race wins and 32 top three finishes in the championship, with only five drivers having recorded more podiums in series history.
Tom Hibbert: “It’s great to be back in the Ginetta GT4 SuperCup for 2021 and teaming up with the brilliant team at Rob Boston Racing. Last year we headed into the business end of the season in title contention and I’ll be looking to do the same again this time around.”
Last season, Rob Boston Racing became the first team to win the GT4 SuperCup drivers’ title for a third time, and also secured the teams’ crown. Since joining the series in 2015, they’ve secured no less than 47 class wins and 135 class podium results.
Rob Boston, team principal: “We’re delighted to have Tom in our line-up this season as we look to defend our titles. After getting into the mix at the top of the standings the last two seasons, I have no doubt that he can mount a proper title challenge this year.”
The Millers Oils Ginetta GT4 SuperCup is Ginetta’s flagship championship. In 2021, the series will be contested over eight race weekends in support of the British Touring Car Championship.
