The driver in-form heading into his home event is Michael Kidson. The London based racer, who is competing as the latest want2race scholarship winner, has put in a majestic run of four consecutive race victories across the last two weekends at Silverstone and Donington Park.
The other race-winner this season is Mark Sansom, who took a dream double success in the opening round at Snetterton. The Hertfordshire driver has continued to show great pace since, with two more podiums at Silverstone and a maiden pole position last time out.
Craig Cornick joins Kidson and Sansom in having secured four podium finishes so far this year and he is the only driver on the grid to pick up silverware in each meeting. He’ll be keen to continue that run and challenge for a maiden victory this weekend.
Toby Trice confirmed his status as a race win contender at Donington Park with a superb double podium finish, while Chris Threadgill has been a consistent fixture at the head of the pack and will look to improve upon his best result of third so far.
Alongside Kidson, there are four other London based drivers on the grid heading across the M25 for their home race this weekend in Harry Mangion, Chris White, Peter Dilnot and Paulo Scripo. Mangion will be full of confidence after picking up a maiden podium finish last time out.
After finishing in the top six on four occasions this year, White will be determined to end his campaign with a first piece of silverware. Also holding podium aspirations will be fellow regular front-runner Harry Ormerod and Mark Lee, who broke into the top six last time out.
Scirpo meanwhile has been a consistent top ten finisher and has enjoyed some great battles through the year with the likes of Neil Wallace, Nigel Fox and Ignazio Zanon. The final grid of the season has been bolstered by the addition of debutants Dilnot, Mark Mandeville and Stephen Moore.
