An exciting new era for Ginetta’s flagship championship begins next season as the V8 powered G56 GT4 becomes the lead car for the series, having enjoyed an impressive debut season of competition in the British GT Championship this year.
A first group of ten drivers have already signed up to race a G56 GT4 in the GT4 SuperCup, with an exciting combination of experienced Ginetta racers continuing in the series and new faces to the paddock set to be announced over the coming weeks and months.
The drivers have been enticed by the prospect of the fastest ever one-make Ginetta competition, which combined with racing on the support bill of the British Touring Car Championship with live television coverage on ITV4, is producing a great package for aspiring career GT and prototype drivers.
Steph Bush, Ginetta Championships Manager: “Considering it’s only been around two months since we made the announcement that the Ginetta G56 GT4 would be introduced to the Millers Oils Ginetta GT4 SuperCup next season, we’re delighted to have ten drivers signed up to race already.
“It’s a very exciting group of drivers split across the Pro and Am classes, and we’re looking forward to announcing the first of those soon. Interest remains high from other parties too, so we’re confident of having a healthy grid of cars lining up for the 2022 season.”
