In Africa, Thompson Racing’s Gavin Conje and Byron Ferguson took the Class T victory in the South African Endurance Series’ Just4Sleep500 event at the Aldo Scribante circuit in Port Elizabeth, while a new official circuit lap record was posted by another Ginetta G57 from Stuart White Racing.
Across in South America, Team Ginetta Brazil emerged with the P1 class victory in the Empire Endurance Brazil series’ four hour race around the Autódromo Internacional Ayrton Senna in Goiânia, Brazil. W.Ebrahim, F.Ebrahim and P.Aguiar shared the spoils in their Ginetta G57.
The team enjoyed further success in that race in the GT4 class, with Kreis Jr, Roberto Braga and Renan Guerra securing the win in their Ginetta G55 – another success to add to the G55’s glittering résumé as the most successful GT4 car ever built.
Closer to home meanwhile at the Red Bull Ring in Austria, Max Aschoff tasted victory in an Edeka Aschoff Racing Team Ginetta G58 in a one hour FIA Central European Zone Endurance race during the Leeb Rundstreckentrophy event.
Team Ginetta USA have also been in action during the FARA Memorial 300 weekend at Homestead Miami Speedway in Florida, with Fabio Escorpioni and Ciro Aliperti producing class-leading pace across the meeting.
