Ginetta G Fest, held from 02-04 June 2023 at the prestigious Silverstone circuit, marked a momentous occasion in the history of Ginetta as the renowned brand celebrated its 65th anniversary.
This unforgettable weekend was packed with thrilling motorsport action. We showcased the very best of British motor racing. The event really was a testament to the evolution of Ginetta since first established in 1958.
Racing and events
All three Ginetta championships competed over the three days with back-to-back, action-packed rounds across the Silverstone GP and National circuit. The races were a testament to the competitive spirit and passion that have defined Ginetta for over the past six decades.
The G Fest festivities also featured a remarkable showcase of Ginetta’s Le Mans Prototype collection. Freddie Tomlinson, Mike Simpson and Charlie Robertson took to the track over the weekend. They captivated the audience with the thunderous sound and impressive speed of the Ginetta LMP1 and LMP3 cars. These cutting-edge prototypes embody the technological advancements and engineering excellence that have propelled Ginetta to the forefront of international endurance racing.
One of the standout moments of the festival was when Ginetta’s own Motorsport Manager, Mike Simpson, took to the track. In a truly historic feat, he piloted Ayrton Senna’s 1984 Formula 1 car, the Toleman TG183B-05. Ginetta would like to thank owner, Tim Whitworth for the opportunity to display the iconic historical F1 car at Silverstone on Saturday.
Adding to the display throughout the Sunday, Ginetta Owner’s Club car parades featured a dazzling classic collection of Ginetta cars. The 25- car parade showcased classic models that have become icons of British automotive history. The presence of the Ginetta Owner’s Club car collection paid homage to Ginetta’s evolution and its enduring impact on motorsport manufacturing.
