2024 DRIVER ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR UK GINETTA CHAMPIONSHIPS

A strong female presence in GT Academy, Juniors jumping up to GT Championship and Ginetta Junior Championship claims made over the holidays.

2024 GT Championship Drivers

2023 GT Academy Champion Nick White announced he will be competing in the Ginetta GT Championship with Raceway Motorsport, stepping up into the G56 GT Pro car. After a hard fought season, Nick secured the championship title in the final race of the season.

Matt Shaw, 2023 GT Academy Rookie Champion will be joining Nick as a team mate at Raceway Motorsport. After a successful rookie season, often in the mix with the non-rookie academy class, Matt will be competing in the Ginetta GT Championship.

Another championship winner stepping up into the Ginetta GT Championship is Luke Garlick. In his first year of car racing, Luke secured the GT5 title at the final round of the season. He’ll again be racing with GT Championship team champions Xentek Motorsport for the 2024 season.

Securing a podium in his debut GT Championship race after jumping up from Ginetta Juniors at the final event of the season, McKenzie Douglass makes the full-time move up to GT Championship with Fox Motorsport.

2024 Ginetta Junior Drivers

Moving to Junior driver announcements, 2022 IAME Euro Series Junior V30 Vice Champion Henry Joslyn completed his first year of car racing in the 2023 Ginetta Junior Championship. He returns for 2024 with Preptech UK.

Another Junior who joined part-way through the season, Alfie Davies will be driving for Preptech UK in 2024. Having split last season between Senior Rotax and Ginetta Junior, this season will be his first full year of car racing.

Ethan Carney joins Preptech UK to their ranks as he confirms his participation in the 2024 season. Ethan moves up from karting into car racing.

Holly Miall returns to the grid in 2024 with Fox Motorsport. After a strong debut season in 2023 Holly looks to make an impact this season!

The first driver announced for new team Pace Performance, Torrin Byrne joins the Ginetta grid for 2024! Torrin said, ‘I’m hugely excited to make my car racing debut in the Ginetta Junior Championship. I have followed the series since I started karting and I believe it’s the perfect stepping stone to a career in motorsport.’

After joining the 2023 Junior Championship at the penultimate round of the season, Jack Robinson will start his first full season of car racing in 2024 with Fox Motorsport.

After a successful debut season, Harry Moss joins the 2023 Ginetta Junior Team Champions, RRacing, looking to improve on his performance in the 2024 season.

Nickolas Ellis continues his racing journey in the Ginetta Junior Championship with Elite Motorsport in 2024. Nickolas said, ‘I want to be a strong contender in the Driver’s championship while at the same time, help Elite win the Teams’ Championship.’

Charlie Hart returns for his second season of racing in the Ginetta Junior Championship with Elite Motorsport in 2024. Charlie said, ‘I know what is needed to win and am totally committed to taking the number one spot in 2024 for both myself and the team’.

2024 GT Academy Drivers

In GT Academy, Marc Elman announced he will continue in the championship for a 3rd consecutive year. Marc achieved multiple podiums this season and looks to achieve more next season with SVG Motorsport.

Making her car racing debut in 2024 is Lucie Hodgson. She said,’ I’m very excited to be racing in the Ginetta GT Academy as a rookie with the Want2Race team for 2024. My main aim for 2024, keep the car on track and have lots of fun!’

Returning to the grid for a second season of racing, Emma Tomlinson. After finishing 3rd in class Emma said of the 2024 season, ‘I can’t wait for the next season ahead, hoping for less carnage and more podiums’.

Winner of the ‘2023 Send It’ award, Lucy Tomlinson returns to the grid for the 2024 season! She said, ‘I’m really looking forward to racing at a slightly faster level and taking on the challenge of competing with a new race grid’.

New Teams For 2024

Pace Performance join the Ginetta grid next season in the Junior Championship! Team Manager Jon Petit said, ‘We’re not here just to participate. I think we’re bringing a fresh approach to the Ginetta Junior Championship that will translate into competitive results from the first round.’
