Assembly Engineer
Ginetta is an exciting and dynamic company that has grown to become one of the most significant players on the global motorsport scene.
Based in Leeds, Ginetta has been building British road and race cars since 1958. In 2005, the company was purchased by LNT Group, which consists of Construction, Chemicals, Automotive and Software companies, under the guidance of Chairman and founder Lawrence Tomlinson.
Since then, ‘The British Motorsport Company’ has enjoyed rapid expansion; scaling up production to support global exports, running multiple successful domestic championships and expanding its offering with supporting brands including Want2race, Blyton Park and Sim Track.

Job profile:
We are looking to recruit an Assembly Engineer to join our growing manufacturing plant.
As an assembly engineer, you will be producing from component form a number of high-performance GT and Prototype race cars. All cars must be assembled to the highest possible standards, paying particular attention to consistent quality, testing & inspection whilst maintaining a well-ordered workspace.
A background in manufacturing/assembly is preferred, and any experience/competencies within the automotive industry would be beneficial. Having a genuine interest in Motorsport is also recommended. Under the mentorship and experienced guidance of our senior staff, this is the perfect opportunity to begin a career in a forward thinking, fast paced, multi-faceted automotive manufacturer.
Your key skills:
- Great attention to detail and ability to work to tight tolerances
- Ability to follow work instructions and read technical drawings
- Strong analytical skills and ability to diagnose and problem solve
- Have good hand dexterity and ability to use a wide range of tools
- Self-motivated and have the ability to work autonomously under pressure
- Have the ability of meeting targets and work in a fast-paced industry
- Be approachable & have a willingness to develop and learn
- Excellent team spirit and work ethic
- Good Mechanical Engineering understanding and appreciation towards manufacturing practices
- General good housekeeping ethic & abide to Health & Safety policies
Salary will be dependent upon previous experience.

GRP Laminator

About the role:
We are recruiting for a self-motivated GRP laminator to join our Ginetta team of fibre glass laminators. You will be producing the bodywork for a large number of production road and race cars, supporting the manufacturing plant.
As a GRP laminator, it will be your job to:
- Clean/Wax/Prep moulds for lay up
- Apply various agents/material identification
- Gel coat application/laminate
- Carry out general housekeeping duties- changing barrels/filling recycling bins/unpacking goods-in deliveries
The successful candidate will:
- Be self-motivated, be able to work alone as well as part of a team, with the flexibility to
- meet deadlines.
- Have great work ethic, taking pride in their work and being punctual
- Be eager to learn and develop
- Previous experience of using hand tools
- Have a background in engineering
- 1 year+ experience of working with fibreglass.
Although a good GRP background is preferred it is not essential, provided candidates have a good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

Junior Finisher

About the role:
Ginetta’s carbon shop is looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join our rapidly expanding team, as a junior finisher/production operative you will be responsible for bonding/filling and polishing carbon fibre parts for our various race and road car projects, as well as general workshop duties, including but not limited to, demoulding, mould maintenance, kit cutting etc.
As a Junior Finisher, it will be your job to:
- Flatten and polish various composite components both by hand and machine
- Prepare and bond various composite components
- Bond and fix of various fasteners
- Demould composite parts
- Maintain moulds to a high standard
- Cut/prepare core materials
- Work with autoclave technician to cut materials and make lamination kits
The successful candidate will:
- Have great attention to detail and ability to work to tight tolerances.
- Be able to follow both written and verbal instruction.
- Show great dexterity and co-ordination
- Be self-motivated, enthusiastic, consistently work with precision and care.
- Have excellent work ethic and able to work within a team as well as independently
- Show good housekeeping, able to work with cleanliness and follow health and safety guidelines
- Preferably have good understanding of various hand/power tools but this is not essential providing candidates can show a good level of attention to detail and dexterity. As full training will be given.
