Entries are now open for the 2025 Ginetta Junior Scholarship, with budding racing drivers invited to battle it out for one of the biggest prizes in UK motorsport.
The scholarship winner will earn a fully funded season in the 2025 Ginetta Junior Championship, with the prize package including all entry fees, use of a G40 Junior race car for the whole season including consumables, insurance and a season supply of race tyres and fuel, professional car preparation from an experienced team and a Ginetta branded race suit.
Ginetta’s own Blyton Park circuit in Lincolnshire will once again host the event. It takes place over a three-day period (11-13 October). Two qualification days will whittle an anticipated capacity entry to a small group, who will return for the final day of assessments.
Entrants face trial in a variety of areas. On-track, their driving behind the wheel of Ginetta G40’s is assessed by an expert panel of judges. Off-track, they undertake fitness tests and their media skills undergo inspection.
The Ginetta Junior Scholarship has unearthed a number of hugely talented drivers over the years. These include two-time W Series champion Jamie Chadwick, current and former British GT champions Adam Smalley, Dan Harper and Sennan Fielding, plus reigning Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux victor Robert de Haan.
The present recipient of the coveted prize is Jude Peters. Peters has scored a number of standout results in his scholarship season so far. Other recent scholars include current Ginetta Junior title contender Chase Fernandez and GB4 Championship race-winner Alisha Palmowski.
To be eligible for the 2025 event, competitors’ dates of birth must fall between 01/01/2009 and 15/03/2011. They must not have previously competed in any motorsport regulated car events.
