Jack Oliphant has become the third member of the Oliphant family to join the Ginetta fold, after announcing his plans to compete in the Ginetta Racing Drivers Club for 2016.
20 year old Jack, who has never raced a car (but claims to be amongst the best on Forza!) will be looking to emulate the successes of his older brother Tom, the 2015 Michelin Ginetta GT4 SuperCup Champion, and his father Paul, who shone in the Ginetta Racing Drivers Club last year.
No stranger to high-octane sports, the Leeds Beckett university student was part of the GB Handball team up until 2014 and is hoping his sporting background will give him an advantage over his racing rivals.
Jack Oliphant, driver; “I’m really looking forward to joining the Ginetta grid for 2016. It’s been fantastic following my dad and brother, and the GRDC really is the easiest and best way for a beginner to be a part of a big, competitive grid full of like-minded people.”
Hayley Hickmore, Ginetta Championships Coordinator; “We are delighted to have Jack joining us for 2016. Both Tom and Paul have been brilliant people to have around the paddock, and the fact that another Oliphant is coming into the fold is testament to the success of the Ginetta ethos.”
