Robert Morgan Set For Ginetta Racing Drivers Club

Chairman of Ikara Business Solutions, Robert Morgan, is set to get his circuit racing career firmly on track in 2016. Having got a taste for Ginetta during a one-off track day, he’s now a fully-fledged member of the 2016 Ginetta Racing Drivers Club

As part of his all-inclusive racing driver package, Robert not only receives a brand new, fully road registered Ginetta G40 Club Car, but he also enjoys two track days with tuition and hand-held support through his ARDS test. That should put him in good stead for round one at Rockingham Motor Speedway at the end of April.

Only, Robert has a trump card up his sleeve. No stranger to competitive driving, Robert was crowned the Vimto Softdrinks Rally Champion in 1992, and lists several track days and a course at the Ron Haslam race school on his motorsport CV.

Robert Morgan, driver;“The idea of being a circuit racing car driver never crossed my mind until I met with Ginetta! I’ve always enjoyed my cars and have done a number of track days, but it wasn’t until I went on one of their track days that I caught the bug! I had such an amazing time and was hooked!”

It’s no surprise then, that Robert is aiming to finish at eight races in his debut season, and make it onto the podium where possible too. He’s got the credentials, and he’s clearly got the stamina, having climbed Mt Kilimanjaro and ridden his bike from his home in Oakham, Rutland, to Istanbul and back again.

Hayley Hickmore, Ginetta Championships Coordinator;“It’s great to hear Robert had such a great time with us on a Corporate Track Day at Blyton Park that he wants to spend a full year with the Ginetta family! We’ve got a great bunch of people lined up for 2016 already so I’m sure he’s going to enjoy earning his racing stripes!”

Created exclusively for newcomers to the sport, the Ginetta Racing Drivers Club fulfils that racing itch.
