Barry Trumper, Managing Director of steel fabrication company, Concept Metalcraft Ltd, has today become the latest driver to swap roads for race tracks, after signing up to the 2016 Ginetta Racing Drivers Club.
The 47 year old businessman from Southampton will be one to watch in 2016, having previously enjoyed several on-track experiences, including an experience day at Thruxton, rally driving in Wales with David Higgins and a number of track days and go karting sessions.
Now looking to translate the odd blast around a track into a complete racing season, Barry elected for Ginetta’s ‘perfect’ introduction to motorsport as the way to earn his racing stripes.
Barry said;“I’ve been on track a couple of times, but always yearned to be part of something ‘more’. The GRDC really does offer the perfect introduction to motor racing as all cars are equal and not the case of who has the most money wins.”
Working on ticking things off his very own ‘bucket list’, Barry’s debut racing season is just around the corner, starting with the delivery of his very own Ginetta G40 Club Car, which he plans to use on the UK roads when he’s not busy racing.
Created exclusively for newcomers to the sport, the Ginetta Racing Drivers Club fulfils that racing itch. Taking you to the UK’s top circuits, Ginetta provides step-by-step support as you make the transition to racing driver.
