The Ginetta Racing Drivers Club will make its Birkett Relay debut at Silverstone on October 24th, as eight drivers from this year’s championship contest the annual six hour encounter.
The drivers - who currently compete in the British GT supporting Ginetta Racing Drivers Club - obtained their first racing licences earlier this year, but have now all progressed from Novices to full National Licence holders through the Ginetta championship, and will be aiming for solid results in the 64th anniversary of the event.
Split into two teams, team one consists of Paul Garstang, Mike Jarvis, Adrian Campbell-Smith and Phillip McGarty, whilst team two features Simon Walker, Roy Perkins, Mark Cundy and Colin Plumb. Ginetta will also provide factory support to the entrants.
Team leader Paul Garstang said;"We've all had a fantastic time this year in our first season of racing with Ginetta, and jumped at the chance to extend the season by trying our hands at the endurance racing scene. Participating as a team and with the support of Ginetta should make for a very exciting and entertaining finale to the racing year"
