The Ginetta Junior Scholarship 2016 is almost completely sold out, with only seven places remaining.
Offering the biggest prize in UK motorsport – a fully funded season in the 2016 KICK Start Energy Drink Ginetta Junior Championship – this year’s competition looks set to be the fiercest yet.
Taking place at Bedford Autodrome between Monday 26th and Wednesday 28th October, the competition attracts some of the UK’s top karters looking to make the transition to sports car racing.
With entry limited to 60 drivers, places on the second of the qualification dates are now completely sold out, and just seven spots are still available on Monday 26 October. The 20 most promising drivers from the first two days are invited back to drive again in the finale on 28 October.
This year's Ginetta Junior Scholarship will not only see one racing protégé receive a fully funded season in the 2016 KICK Start Energy Drink Ginetta Junior Championship worth £60,000, but a complete support package courtesy of Goodman Media and iZone Driver Performance.
To be eligible, entrants’ date of birth must be between 01.01.2000 and 21.03.2002 and they must not have previously competed in a circuit race, however, drivers with karting experience are actively encouraged.
