The formidable Ginetta pairing of Ryan Ratcliffe and Rick Parfitt Jnr are set to make their return to British GT at Snetterton on 22/23 August, as Ratcliffe joins Team LNT for the one-off event.
With Parfitt Jnr’s regular teammate Tom Oliphant committed to increasing his lead of the Michelin Ginetta GT4 SuperCup at Knockhill on the same weekend, it made sense for Parfitt Jnr to be joined by the former teammate with whom he claimed the GT4 title two years ago.
Parfitt Jnr said; “It’s great that Tom is leading the Michelin Ginetta GT4 SuperCup and I fully support his decision to be at Knockhill. In his absence I’m happy that I will be reunited with my 2013 British GT4 championship-winning teammate Ryan. He is a proven talent and very fast, plus we have worked well as a team before so I’m hoping we can bring back a little of the magic we had at Snetterton in 2013 where we won both races!”
A proven success of the Ginetta motorsport career ladder, Ratcliffe began his motorsport career in the Ginetta Junior Championship before graduating into the Ginetta GT5 Challenge in 2011. Taking fourth in his first year of competition, he went one better in 2012, taking third overall.
Ratcliffe added;“I have a really good feeling about Snetterton, it's one of my favourite UK tracks and I’ve always gone well around there. To be partnered with Rick again is great, we have a great relationship on and off the track and we work well together! The Ginetta has great potential and I’m sure it will be a good weekend!”
Rick and Ryan will complete Team LNT’s two car line up in rounds seven and eight of the Avon Tyres British GT Championship, joining regular teammates Mike Simpson and Steve Tandy in the Ginetta garage. The races will take place at Snetterton Circuit, Norfolk on 23 August.
