Team LNT are looking forward to a strong weekend at Brands Hatch with a pair of Ginetta G55 GT3’s ready for round six of the Avon Tyres British GT Championship in Kent.
With a podium already under their belts the driver pairing of Mike Simpson and Steve Tandy are set to further cement their position inside the championship top five with a strong result.
Having climbed from 17thon the grid to third overall in just a handful of laps at the same event in 2013, Simpson’s confidence at the Southern circuit is further bolstered by the team’s positive showing at Spa Francorchamps earlier this month.
The #32 car finished an impressive sixth overall in Belgium, despite being forced to start an unrepresentative 13th on the grid following damage picked up in qualifying. Meanwhile, the sister #44 car of Tom Oliphant and Rick Parfitt Jnr will be looking to translate their raw speed into a solid result, after they were robbed of a near-certain top five finish following heavy contact whilst running a strong sixth.
2015 Avon Tyres British GT Championship Driver Standings (after Rd5):
