Euro Series By Nova Race are gearing up for their second meeting of the year at Slovakiaring this weekend, in support of the WTCC and ETCC.
Following a successful season opener at Paul Ricard last April which saw Oliver Freymouth and Manuel Lasagni share the victories, the new-for-2015 series is looking forward to more close racing at the Slovakian circuit.
Heading into the weekend, Freymouth leads the drivers’ standings six points ahead of Lasagni, the latter of whom will be joined in his Ginetta G50 by Roberto Gentili for this weekend, having raced solo in the first encounter.
Two further Ginetta G50’s will be raced by the pairings of Fredrik Blomstedt / Marko Helistekangas and Simeon Ivanon / Ivailo Tzonev, whilst Luca Magnoni, who claimed a third and a fourth place finish at Le Castellet, will be at the wheel of another British car.
Buggy Experience racing will enter two Ginetta G55’s, with one driven by Team Owner Javier Ibran and the other piloted by Tony Castillo.
With a number of other manufacturers on the grid, the Euro Series By Nova Race organisers did a great job of balancing the cars prior to the opening round, so more close racing is expected over the course of this weekend.
Drivers will qualify for the racing at 19:25 and 19:43 today, with the two races taking place tomorrow (June 20) at 10:40 and 16:50.
