The Swedish Ginetta GT5 Challenge moved from Mantorp Park to twisty Kinnekulle Ring for rounds four and five last weekend.
A total of 18 cars made qualifying, with a heavy rain storm making it difficult for drivers entering the track a bit too late. Otto Gullberg headed two more G20´s with the best G40´s a bit down.
Champion Niclas Lindström started from 8th position but made good progress and took the lead on lap 5. He then stormed to victory with a margin of 11 seconds to the fighting duo of Robin Lassander and Otto Gullberg. Jesper Prytz collided with Bror Ellfolk on the very first lap but the stormed up to 5th, just behind Niclas Harbig´s similar G40.
In the second race Niclas once more dominated, setting a new lap record on his way to another win. Jesper Prytz was a distant second but easily held of Bror Ellfolk´s G40. The latter however was later penalised for passing under yellows and fell back to fourth behind Joakim Strid.
In the standings Niclas Lindström leads with 36 points from Jesper Prytz (30). The very quick G20´s of Lassander and Strid heads the G20 Cup.
Next race will be held at the Falkenberg track on June 27.
