The Ginetta GT5 Challenge arrives at Rockingham this weekend with 29 racers ready to do battle in rounds four, five and six of the championship.
Stuart Linn arrives in pole position thanks to a trio of second places at Oulton Park last month, but he can expect to be kept honest by double race winner James Kellett, and proven frontrunners Ollie Chadwick, Callum Pointon and Luca Hirst.
Keep an eye too on teammates Nick Zapolski and Jack Minshaw who looked strong last time out, along with Privateer Russ Simpson – who narrowly missed out on a podium result in the opener. Ian Robinson, Charles Plumley and Dan O’Brien are all set for a return to the grid, where they will be joined by series newcomer Matt Palmer.
Following a troubled start, Mohammad Elshimy is hoping to chalk up a healthy points tally, as are Alexis Taylor and Glen Broster, who suffered setbacks to their championship campaign as a result of an opening lap incident at Oulton Park.
Rockingham also sees the first points scoring race of the GRDC+ season and Charles Ferguson is the man to beat having taken a clean sweep of race wins in 2014. Matt Lowe and Greg Stuart both claimed a second and third place here last year, so will be hoping to go one better.
John Wall, Chris Babington, Brian Ellory and Shawn Fleming are looking forward to their second competitive outing of the year having joined the grid at Oulton Park for the non-points scoring rounds.
Elsewhere in the class, Guy Redwood and Gary Wager will be enjoying their first taste of 2015 racing here, alongside former Ginetta GT5 Challenge racers Ben Hyland, Rob Keogh and Andy Marshall, who switch to GRDC+ for 2015.
