The Euro Series by Nova Race roared into action at the French circuit of Paul Ricard this weekend, with Oliver Freymouth and the Manuel Lasagni early leaders with a pole and race win between them.
Freymouth took charge in race one, leading from the G50 GT4 car of Marko Helistekangas, with a gap of 9.336 as the cars ended the series opener. Whilst in the G55 cars, Pierre Piron was best of the rest as Alberto Vescovi, was forced to miss round one.
Race two was far more eventful, particularly throughout the last 10 minutes of the action, with a fight that saw Lasagni, Freymouth and Fredrik Blomstedt all fighting for the lead position, eventually finishing in the aforementioned order.
Magnoni finished fourth ahead of the car shared by Roberto Gentili and Lorenzo Marcucci, whilst former Ginetta racer Will Moore’s race came to an early end in his Aston Martin Vantage.
The next outing is set for 20 and 21 June at the Circuit of Slovakiaring, with even more cars expected on the ever expanding grid.
