Reece Somerfield has today confirmed a return to the Michelin Ginetta GT4 SuperCup, in what will be his fourth season in the British Touring Car Championship support series for the 26 year old from Pelsall, West Midlands.
The Forkers Civil and Ground Engineering backed driver, who finished third in the 2012 Ginetta G50 Cup and awarded Ginetta’s ‘Spirit Of The Championship’ title in the same year, rounded out his 2013 and 2014 championship campaigns inside the top 10, and is now looking for consistent podium results.
Somerfield said;“I am looking forward to returning to the Michelin Ginetta GT4 SuperCup for 2015 – I have plenty of driving time under my belt now, so here’s hoping I can collect some champagne and silverware throughout 2015.”
Ashley Gallagher, Ginetta Championships Manager added;“Reece is one of the most experienced G55 GT4 drivers on the Michelin Ginetta GT4 SuperCup grid and has extensive experience of the TOCA circuits, so he should be able to really challenge for championship points. He’s a popular character in the paddock and we look forward to seeing him again.”
The Michelin Ginetta GT4 SuperCup is a popular choice for many aspiring racing drivers, thanks to its inclusion on the televised British Touring Car Championship and its recognition by the BRDC as a championship which qualifies for membership.
