Jonathan Hadfield has today confirmed his plans to contest the KICK Start Energy Ginetta Junior Championship as part of family team, R & J Motorsport.
Hadfield enjoyed three top five finishes and two outright rookie wins in his first full KICK Start Energy Ginetta Junior Championship season, and is hoping to use knowledge gathered last season to take him to outright victory in 2015.
Hadfield said;“I am pleased to be back for a second season in the KICK Start Energy Ginetta Junior Championship, I have high hopes for this season and am really excited to get it underway, challenging for outright wins and the overall championship as R & J have given me the best chances this season.”
R & J Motorsport made their debut in the KICK Start Energy Ginetta Junior Championship in 2014, running Ryan Hadfield – Jonathan’s older brother – and Ben Pearson to fifth and sixth overall respectively.
The KICK Start Energy Ginetta Junior Championship will feature a maximum capacity grid in 2015, with all driver entries for the forthcoming season having already been filled. Highlighting the importance of the series to young racers aged 14-17 as they embark on their sports car careers, 26 entries have been placed for the upcoming campaign; which seems set to be one of the most competitive in the history of the ever-popular championship.
