Ginetta can today confirm the newest member to of the Ginetta Racing Drivers Club will be 36 year old company director Dan Collinson from Garstang, Lancashire.
Growing up around motorsport - Collinson’s father used to rally in the 1970’s and 80’s – Dan is hoping to win races from the outset.
Collinson said;“I am incredibly excited to get on track with the Ginetta Racing Drivers Club. Last year’s series looked like great fun and the organisation by Ginetta means I can focus on just that – having fun – and not worry about all the logistics that may come with going racing.”
No stranger to a challenge, Collinson drove around the entire coast of Australia in a Ford Falcon in 2001, and he hopes his determination will see him secure a number of race wins during his debut motorsport season.
Collinson is the joint Managing Director of the family business, Collinson PLC, a manufacturing, construction and renewables business which was established in 1962 and now employs over 125 people.
His Ginetta Racing Drivers Club journey will begin with delivery of a brand new Ginetta G40 Club Car, followed by two track days alongside a Ginetta-approved instructor, before he takes his ARDS test prior to the first round of the four-weekend series.
Created exclusively for newcomers to the sport, the Ginetta Racing Drivers Club roars into action at Rockingham Motor Speedway on 2/3 May. There are limited places remaining on the 2015 grid, interested parties should visit ginetta.com/grdc.
