Jack Minshaw is set to step up to the Ginetta GT5 Challenge for 2015, after announcing plans for a full season campaign with Buddy Racing.
As a third generation of Minshaw driver, Jack is hoping to follow in the footsteps of his father Jon and become a successful GT competitor, with the Ginetta GT5 Challenge providing the ideal first ‘step on the ladder.’
Having finished third overall in the Ford XR Challenge in 2014, the Demon Tweeks backed driver is aiming for consistent top ten finishes from the outset throughout the course of his inaugural Ginetta season.
Minshaw said;“I am incredibly excited to join the Ginetta GT5 Challenge in 2015, it is the perfect step up from the Fiesta championship and benefits from being on the British GT package, making it a perfect stepping stone into top level GT racing.”
Nick Zapolski, Team Owner at Buddy Racing added; “I’m delighted to have Jack on board with Buddy Racing. He has shown some great potential in the Ford XR Challenge and he has taken to the G40 extremely well during winter testing. I’m sure he’ll be featuring in the top 10 from the start of the season and progress through the grid as the season moves forward.”
The Ginetta GT5 Challenge has already received unprecedented interest for 2015, thanks, in part, to the amalgamation of the GRDC+ onto the grid for the forthcoming season. Only a few spaces now remain on the grid and 2015 looks set to be our most competitive year to date.
The Ginetta GT5 Challenge offers a unique, low-cost opportunity to race in a single make racing championship whilst still being a part of a prestigious support package. Joining the Avon Tyres British GT Championship once again, this seven-weekend series is a popular entry-level championship for many aspiring GT racers, because the cost-effective series boasts packed grids with close racing.
